NOTE: the idiom above means that we shouldn’t spend or waste money, but try to save it
let me share with you some tips given by my financial-related-work friend, Faiz regarding money saving. it is important for us to have our own saving, in case there are circumstances that might need us to use big amount of money.
when we get our paycheck, spare and ‘hide’ a portion of our salary as our saving. to do this, we have to make our monthly budget. DO NOT USE the money. the wrong method of doing this is “SPEND our salary and THEN KEEP the balance as saving“.
TAX our expenses. these would make us more thoughtful in spending the cash. let say, breakfast cost us RM2.30, the balance of it is 70 cents. ‘bank in’ the balance in a coin box and tax the expenses, let say RM1. then, bank in all the taxation in the coin box in your saving account, it is safer and wiser.
stay at home on weekends (or anywhere that don’t require us to spend money). try to do other activities that would prevent us from going shopping.
list all the things before going to shop. we should only buy the things we need rather than buying things we want.
key in our expenses dlm Microsoft Money.. or any other application that can view our expense graphs. from the graphs, we could review and re-budget our expenses.
for budget, breakdown to weekly expenses instead of lump sum. do not keep a big amount of cash.
print a picture of something that we really want, like ermm.. interesting vacation places, big house, cool car or anything and paste them on your wall (where you always can see them). this is to motivate us to save more~
it is never too early to save. or we better late then never. i am practicing these tips myself, but i always cheat on the taxation. haha… i better be more discipline!

ehhehe.. slalu ke disconnect? don’t know la bout u guys/girls, but according to edot, at home, the connection drops at almost every 5 minutes! worse during peak time.
maxis does mention in their so-called “fair” usage policy that they will disconnect u if ur connection idles for a period of time (30 minutes if i’m not mistaken). 30 minit ke 3 minit?? cess..
i googled about this prob and found the solution (i hope) bout 2 weeks ago. all u need to do is change the setting to use a fixed DNS. u can choose to use either of these 2:

just found this little bug on my office’s PC this morning.
1. u need to enable the statusbar in explorer. on the menu bar, go to View > Status Bar.
2. browse to any folder with files in it.
3. click a singe file or just ctrl + A to select all files.
4. read the file size in the status bar.
5. now press F5 to refresh the folder.
6. select the same file(s) and read the file size again,
… the number increased!
… and it will keep increasing after each refresh.. hehe..
it is an old bug actually (since beta ver.). many complaints, but microsoft seems to ignore them..
hello world~ i am very proud to tell you that i have finished the Runway Project; Baju Kurung! it is 100% complete~ haha, this sounds boastful, isn’t it? but i just can’t help it.. so please bear with it for a while. well, i used to be a very tomboyish girl before. i dressed up like a boy, with jersey and jeans. i talked like a boy. i acted like a boy. i never care to learn cooking or sewing. but everybody’s changing and so do i.
but now, i tried all the stuff i used to hate. i cook and sometimes they taste goooood~ i sew.. and the baju kurung fits me well & the sliding door curtains look pretty nice! i invested some money for these thing coz i believe this might be one of my retirement planning. i want to learn how to sew other dress design! i want to learn how to make latest curtain’s design! i want to make plushies! i want to make anything crafty~
btw, i tried 3 Minutes Microwave Chocolate Cake yesterday. it tastes better than its looks.. maybe i should add some baking powder next time i make it.
i woke up quite late for subuh this morning. it was already 7 a.m! haha.. but that’s not the point!
i continued my Baju Kurung project; the bottom, ‘kain’. phew~ it was challenging! it took me 7hours because of all the mistakes i made. so now my Baju Kurung project is 95% complete! yeay! and most importantly, the baju kurung fits me well.. very well~ so now my baju raya is considered DONE!
looking at my living room, where i did most of the sewing work.. urgh~ it was full of threads! so i swept the carpet, floor and them mopped them. phew~ hard works, one after another.
it was 4.30 p.m and i have to prepare the dinner. the easiest dish.. Nasi Ayam! ok, now that nasi ayam is done, time for me to relax~
wonder how can i do all these on Friday? i forgot to go to work.. miahahaha~
