[W] Omega: Alternative Driver for Your Graphic Card

ATI and NVIDIA r the 2 most leading graphical processing unit (GPU) suppliers for graphic cards (GC). To work correctly with ur system (ur computer la sng cite), ur gc needs a driver. that’s Y everytime u install a new GC, u need to install the driver. the 2 most common (original) drivers r Catalyst for ATI & ForceWare for NVIDIA products.

i’m not gonna talk about the original drivers, instead i’ll introduce (4 those who didn’t know) the alternative driver named Omega Drivers. These r the alternate set of drivers (for Catalyst & ForceWare) for gamers, ones that have more options and features than the original sets.

The drivers contain:

• optimizations,
• extra features (like overclock (OC) capabilities),
• more resolutions and
• internal tweaks

that can give them the edge in a gaming environment over the normal drivers, which are often tailored for synthetic benchmarks.

installation (win2k/XP):

1. Download the installer from here (for ATI Radeon) or here (for nVidia GeForce).
2. Uninstall your current GC softwares (e.g: ATI Control Panel or CCC).
3. You don’t need to uninstall any previous drivers. But if u do, then:
   • Reboot.
   • When asked for driver for new hardware, click Cancel.
4. Run the downloaded file.
5. Follow the instruction…
6. Reboot.. DONE!

hohoho..lame xtulis blog.. ida plak dh berpaling tadah, buat blog lain. biaselah, she needs atttention. tls kat cni xde sape bace. aku byk bende nk cite, tp sume smpn dlm ati jek.

ade sape² pegi pcfair kat city square jumaat-ahad (4-6hb ogos) lps? ramai gile org.. mengalahkan pcfair kat kl convension centre kwn aku ckp. aku rs bkn org yg terlampau ramai, tp tmpt tu yg sempit sgt! sbbtu la jb pun tgh buat convension centre gak kot dkt² plaza kotaraya tu.

tujuan aku pegi pcfair sbnonye:

• mobo (motherboard) aku mmg dh lame gile bengong.. tp aku sabo je.. 8 kapasitor dh blown up (klik gambo ats tu). kalo aku kaco sket je cpu tu, mule la prob yg pelik² (cth: xleh nk boot lgsg (bunyi beep pun xde!), xdetect hdisk, xdetect graphic card (gc), hang xtentu pasal, mati sendri, etc..), so.. AKU NK BELI MOBO BARU!!
• mobo aku tu AMD socket A, payah dh nk jmp kedai yg jual mobo socket A ni sejak athlon xp diganti dgn sempron yg ade kat socket A, 754, 934 & yg latest AM2. kalo aku beli mobo baru, mesti la nk beli yg teknologi baru gak (aku nk AM2) sbb harge pun lbh kurang jek, ntah² lg murah. kalo beli mobo AM2, KENE LA BELI PROCESSOR AM2 BARU!!
• AM2 pulak dh digandingkan dgn memory DDR2. buat mase ni, ram DDR2 lg murah dr ram DDR sbb kos nk buat die murah. so, jimat la kat situ. masalahnye, mobo aku skrg ni gune DDR jek mcm org lain. so,kalo nk bli mobo & cpu baru tu, KENE LA BELI DDR2 RAM BARU!!

so, sabtu tu aku pegi la ngan ida, adi ngan sham. aritu aku nk survey² je, collect pricelist. ushar² gak ade 1 mobo gigabyte tu, ok le die punye spec, gune chipset nforce 430 + geforce 6100. . bace review psl geforce 6100 tu pun ok le, core clock: 425MHz, tp kene share system memory. so xyah la aku beli gc PCI-E dlm ms terdekat sbb dh integrated.

ahad tu aku pegi lg dgn ida ngan abah aku. konon² nk mintak abah aku tlg sket la.. maklumla.. loan aku tiap² sem, lps tolak yuran ape sume, tgl $400 jek.. cukup² mkn (xcukup pun). skrg pun tgl $200 jek. xtau plak abah aku nk beli 1GB pendrive + 1GB sd card + color & black printer cartridge + headphone = $300++. aku pun xjadi le nk mintak tlg die.. brg yg aku nk beli sume dlm $600-$700 la.

so aku pun blk tgn 0. nk buat camane… brangan je la. hohoho…

ok, ramai antare korang yg abiskan mase online korang dgn YM kan?

kalo korang gune YM version 7 atau 8 (yeah!), korang akan perasan YM dh letak ads banner (iklan) kat byk tmpt mcm kat bwh name list, kat webcam window, kat chatroom.. etc.

xgune btolla Yahoo! ni kan? ads tu bukan setakat menyakitkan mate + menyesakkan ruang, tp gune bandwidth gak (sape² yg gune slow connection mesti terase bebannye).

so, cane nk buang iklan² tu? sng jek.. ikut 4 simple steps ni..
