[E] Oh Sugar! Honey honey

She: Hubby, saya tak nak awak dapat diabetis bila dah tua nanti. So, awak nak Nescafe ke tak ni?

He: Tak nak…

My mom is diabetic, so I think I probably have 50% risk of having diabetes too.

So I am very concern on how much sugar I consume everyday. I am controlling how much sugar Win is taking too. That’s why I only make him 1 cup of 3in1 Nescafe every morning for his breakfast but very reluctant to make him another cup of 3in1 coffee before he goes to sleep. It’s TOO MUCH sugar and coffee for a day already!

We always ask for warm water when we order drinks from the restaurant. If the meal comes with fizzy/carbonated drinks, we will request to change it to Milo without ice. We don’t eat dessert after meal too.

In my office, the pantry provides coffee/tea dispenser – for FREE – but no one here in the office consumes more than 2 cups of coffee every day. I wonder how much coffee Win will have if Felda provides this free coffee machines too. Luckily, Felda doesn’t even provide a fridge or microwave in their pantries! HAHAH. Let alone providing free coffee from dispensers😛

Win told me to mix the coffee instead of using the premix 3in1. But when I mix the coffee with less sugar and condense milk, he complained “Tawar!”. Hish! I make tea with less sugar and then he complained, “Hanyepp” <– cakap Jawa pulak!

I wish he knows how troublesome life with diabetes could be.

Tengoklah Mak sekarang.. aku nak ajak makan luar pun dia berat hati sebab masakan manis & air pun manis.

Tak boleh terluka sikit, nanti merebak. Silap-silap boleh kena potong kaki!

Kena control sugar intake, kalau tak nanti kene marah dengan doktor time checkup.

Kena cek kandungan gula dalam darah secara berkala, device nk cek gula dalam darah tu mahal tau?

Untuk Win, aku cuma bole kontrol masa dia kat rumah je. Masa dia makan dengan kawan-kawan ofis, aku tak boleh control dia order air apa. Kawan-kawan dia kuat makan/minum manis tau? Hishhh.. takut aku.

Memangla nampak mengongkong sebab tak bagi minum manis-manis. Bukan tak boleh langsung, sikit-sikit boleh je.

But I do this because I love him. (and also malas nak bancuh Nescafe malam-malam HAHAHA)

    eh! mak aku pun ad diabetis jgk. die kontrol gule die selain ubat ngan teh misai kucing yg die buat sndr. setiap kali die mkn lebih gule die akan minum teh tu lepas mkn. rmh aku da la suke mkn manis. x penah plak ad serius problem. device cek gule tu pun die ad. tp aku x berani nak try gune. *kena cucuk jari. ngeri!* ekceli misai kucing tu cam ad resepi die la jgk. kalo terlebih minum nnt terkurang gule plak. kalo nak try, sile dptkan nasihat dokter

      haah mak aku pun ngelat sebelum jumpe doktor dia telan teh misai kucing tu berteko-teko! hoping dat sugar level dlm darah turun & doktor tak marah.

      kadang2 ok kadang kene marah jugak.

      aku tolong mak aku cucuk jari test gula dlm darah tu kadang2 bila balik kampung. tiap kali bacaan mesti tinggi😛 walopon dia kontrol, tapi still tinggi tau.

        camner tu eh? mcm mak aku xder plak camtu. doktor mmg kate gule die stabil la (ad diabetis tp stabil. camner tuh?), sbb x naik2 kot.

    tuk org ade diabetes.. ada minimum reading tuk dia, aku lupa berapa. 11 kot. so kalau lebih dari reading tu akan kene marah, kalau reading <= 11 doktor tak kata apa2.

    tu je, mak aku kontrol gula tapi still tinggi. mebi sebab beras, karbohidrat tukar jadi gula dalam darah. kene makan beras perang sbnarnya mak aku ni

      mgk kn makan pucuk mengkudu byk2 kot. eh? mak ko kan dok kg. mesti rajin mkn pucuk2 ni sumer. huhuhu

        dah makan semua pucuk even kulit pokok jering pun dah makan pahit nak mampos,,,

        tapi sama je tetap tinggi.

    aiyoo korang. everything inside our food is sugar! most of it la. sebab?

    ruji makanan orang malaysia ni typically carbohydrate yang pastu disintegrate jadi glucose (gula). diabetes jadi sebab badan dah selalu sangat bergula tinggi. in the end, hati tak dapat nak cope untuk hasilkan insulin sebab rosak.

    selalunya disebabkan diet, penuaan dan genetik.

    maka marilah kita berdiet makan sayur sihat2. *ceh cakap orang syud padahal kau pon bedal je makan. hehe

      Betul!
      Almost everything we eat tu jadi gula dlm darah. Sebab tu kalo mintak aku buat air manis lagi memangggg aku malas nk buat – Bole bg alasan “cukuplah gula yg kite consume arini” LOL.
